axynit® — surface layer treatment by ion implantation

Surface modification without applying a coating, for delicate components: the near-surface region of the substrate is specifically altered by three-dimensional ion treatment in plasma (plasma immersion ion implantation, indentation hardness 10 to 20 GPa). Through doping, electrical conductivity, surface energy and biocompatibility can be adjusted; under high loads axynit serves as a support layer beneath axyprotect.
