AxynTeC Dünnschichttechnik specialises in tailoring coatings individually to the property profile of the component surface. The company has been certified to DIN EN ISO 9001:2015 and DIN EN ISO 13485:2016 for more than ten years. When AxynTeC joined the Nanofilm Group, this was the first step in the group's expansion into Europe; Nanofilm Technologies International, headquartered in Singapore, was founded in 1999 and is Asia's leading provider of nanotechnology coating solutions.

For medical technology, the axymed line offers surfaces and services that ensure wear resistance, sterilisability and biocompatibility. The diamond-like carbon coatings axyprotect® reduce the coefficient of friction compared with titanium or stainless steel by a factor of 3 to 10 and prevent abrasion and galling in titanium-to-titanium contacts in implant systems. The basis is the patented plasmaimpax® process, which modifies and coats three-dimensionally using high-energy particles and high-voltage pulse technology — at low temperatures, and therefore also for temperature-sensitive materials.

The range of services comprises contract coating with DLC, hybrid and customer-specific coatings, ion implantation, development services such as sampling, feasibility studies, material screening and coating development, as well as the company's own equipment (axplorer systems for research and series production, axyplorer for pulsed laser deposition, special systems).
