Erbe Elektromedizin GmbH

As an owner-managed family business in its fifth generation, Erbe Elektromedizin develops, produces and sells surgical systems for professional use in various medical fields. The company, based in Tübingen, has existed for 175 years.

Thermal surgical procedures using high-frequency current are part of the basic equipment of every operating theatre — and many of the electrosurgery systems used there come from Erbe. The range includes the generators of the VIO® family, the VIRON X imaging system with 4K NIR imaging and instruments for flexible and laparoscopic applications such as HYBRIDknife® flex, BiClamp® and MOVIVA® for the endoscopic ablation of the gastric mucosa.

The specialist disciplines range from gastroenterology and general/visceral surgery through gynaecology and pulmonology to urology. The offering is complemented by technical service with a service centre in Tübingen, support with reprocessing and the Erbe Academy as an international training centre.

Quality management is certified to ISO 13485 and ISO 9001; the company participates in MDSAP and its products are certified under the MDR.
