Bühler Metallbearbeitung GmbH was founded in 1990 and employs around 30 staff at its site in Spaichingen. The medium-sized family business specialises in milling technology for machinable materials — from small batches to large series, in flexible three-shift operation.
It manufactures complex, fully machined milled parts and mill-turned parts, ready-to-install system parts with all surface and heat treatments, as well as assembled units and systems. The focus is on medical technology; in addition the company works for drop forges, telecommunications, mechanical and plant engineering, hydraulics and pneumatics, rail transport and connection technology.
The machinery includes 7-axis mill-turn centres from Mazak, Bumotec and Chiron with bar loading magazines and 5-axis simultaneous machining, as well as machining centres from Hermle, Chiron and Hyundai Wia. Materials processed include aluminium, zinc-aluminium alloys, brass and stainless steel, each following incoming goods inspection.
The newly built company headquarters in Spaichingen offers air conditioning for the halls and machine temperature control via a ring water pipe; the waste heat from the two redundant compressors heats the office building. The quality management system is certified to DIN ISO 9001.
