Glaser AG in Tuttlingen is a contract manufacturer for invasive and minimally invasive surgery. It develops, certifies and produces high-precision microsurgical instruments — as an extended workbench for the customer, whose name the finished products bear.
The spectrum ranges from arthroscopy through ENT surgery, laparoscopy and cardiology to high-frequency surgery, plus individual parts and assemblies for medical technology. All process steps through to the market-ready product are in-house: development with CAD, design, production on 4-, 5- and 6-axis turn-mill centres, measuring and testing equipment with an in-house test laboratory for function and durability as well as validation and documentation. Manufacturing ranges from the prototype and individual parts to series of more than 200,000 pieces.
Quality management is certified to DIN EN ISO 13485:2016 and FDA; on request Glaser handles the entire approval process including the audits for the relevant sales markets. All instruments are laser marked with a traceable UDI code and the customer's brand. The company's own patents and innovations complement its contract manufacturing.
