Messner GmbH in Ottobrunn near Munich is a family business in its second generation, specialising in complex turned and milled parts as well as assembly work through to surface finishing. Around 60 employees, led by Bernd Messner and Christian Scheippl, rely on high-tech production technologies and partnership-based cooperation with customers and suppliers.
Its core competence lies in the series production of high-precision CNC components: milling on MAZAK machining centres with pallet automation, turning of simple to highly complex geometries, assembly of units and systems, laser marking and material analysis — supplemented by grinding, lapping, EDM, mass finishing, cleaning and gear cutting. As a system partner, Messner provides support as early as the search for a design solution and uses feasibility analysis to determine which processes are efficient and cost-saving in the project.
The manufacturing and quality processes meet the requirements of medical technology and aerospace to ISO 13485 and EN 9100. Air-conditioned measuring rooms with Mitutoyo coordinate measuring machines, initial sample inspection reports, APQP and the seamless archiving of material certificates and test records ensure traceability; SAP Business One, MES, machine data acquisition and document management connect production in the spirit of Industry 4.0.
