Rudischhauser Surgical Instruments Manufacturing GmbH

Rudischhauser Surgical Instruments & Implants Manufacturing has been developing and producing medical devices in Tuttlingen since 1954 — beginning with surgical instruments for ophthalmology, today with a focus on spinal surgery, traumatology and orthopaedics. Steffen Rudischhauser has led the company, which is now part of the SPI Group, since 2004.

With its own design and development department, standard and special instruments, set configurations and complex assemblies are created in close cooperation with customers based all over the world — from the initial problem through design and prototype construction to series production, including assembly, laser marking and labelling. Special surface coatings, UDI-compliant laser marking and labelling to customer specification complete the product.

The company is certified to DIN EN ISO 13485:2021 and registered with the US Food and Drug Administration under 21 CFR Part 820 (no. 8010300). Manufacturing takes place on the latest generation of machining centres with robotics, an optical measuring system and a CAQ system from Babtec; the company trains surgical instrument makers and cutting machine operators.
