Training & Education for medical devices

In medical technology, qualified staff is a regulatory requirement, not a matter of company culture. Article 15 of the MDR requires a person responsible for regulatory compliance with demonstrated qualification; ISO 13485 requires training needs to be identified, training to be delivered and its effectiveness to be evaluated. So it is not enough to train — you must show that it worked.

The field is correspondingly broad. It ranges from regulatory subjects — MDR, IVDR, risk management to ISO 14971, clinical evaluation — through auditor qualifications and quality tools to entirely practical instruction: behaviour in cleanrooms, handling sterile barrier systems, operating measuring equipment. Added to this is the German medical device consultant role under section 83 of the Medical Devices Implementation Act, which requires its own demonstrated expertise and regular refreshment.

For buyers, the most useful question is not who offers the broadest programme but who supplies evidence that withstands an audit: attendance records, content, assessment of learning, certificates with validity dates. Training without evidence of effectiveness is a finding in the audit report, not a proof.
